Neptunes Meet #3- Knolls vs CK
Hello CK Swim Families!
Thank you to all swimmers and families who participated in our Meatball Dinner Fundraiser! Special thanks to Brett East & Janice Wallace, who organized a fantastic meal! And we appreciate everyone coming to Picture Day on Tuesday. If you ordered pictures, you will find them in your "family folders" by the end of June.
We're excited to host our neighbors, The Knolls tomorrow!
ABOUT MEET #3
What/Where: Neptunes host The Knolls Tsunami at Cherry Knolls Pool
When: Saturday, June 15
Meet timeline:
- 6:30 – Pool opens
- 6:45-7:15 – Cherry Knolls swimmers warm up
- 7:15-7:45 – Visiting swimmers warm up
- 7:30 -- Scratch Meeting upstairs in clubhouse
- 7:40 – Stroke Judge and Timers (both shifts) meeting by the starter tent with Starter/Ref
- 7:45 – Heating begins for events 1-11
- 7:55 – National Anthem
- 8:00 – Meet begins!!
Little Neptunes who are swimming the Exhibition event, please be at staging by 9:30 a.m. ready with suits and googles! (note this event/swimmers' names are not on the meet program)
Parents:
If your swimmer is sick and will not be able to participate tomorrow, please text or call Coach Isabelle at (720)771-7884 by 7 a.m., so that events and relays can be adjusted.
VOLUNTEERS report to the swimmers' tents before 7:30 a.m. to pick up your sticker, which identifies you and the volunteer shift you will be working. Thank you for doing this, so we know all shifts are covered as we have no floaters for this meet. We need every family's help to host this meet! Please ask a Parent Rep of Ashley Weldon if you have volunteer questions in the morning.
***The meet should end by 12:30 tomorrow. So please plan accordingly if you are a 2nd shift volunteer or Cleanup volunteer***
Have your swimmers under the tents with caps and goggles ready! If they are not in staging/heating, they will miss their events. Watch the event #s posted on the clubhouse balcony.
Don’t forget to pack chairs (Mom and Dad), sleeping bags, a tarp to put under sleeping bags, extra towels, sunscreen, healthy snacks and drinks and money for concessions!! Our fabulous concessions team will be selling breakfast burritos, hot coffee, donuts, yogurt parfaits, hamburgers, hot dogs, assorted candy and nachos again. Huge thanks to Robin Bryant and Ashlee Luebbert, our Concessions chairs who are providing us with such good grub!
PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING and check out the Meet Survival Guide.
Meet Program/Heat Information: Find on the website homepage and at Meet Program The Knolls @ Cherry Knolls. Please print your own copy to bring to the meet and make notes as needed.
Additionally, if your child is a Buddy Captain, or filling in for one, please make sure they bring their card or equivalent to the meet and give it to their "Buddy Family" members.
PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING!
As always, if we beat The Knolls, you get to push the coaches into the pool (safely) at the end of the meet!
Next week is a Tri-Meet at Forest Park. Volunteer jobs might open a bit later on Sunday, as we await what their needs are from our team- FYI
