Good Morning Neptune Parents,

Our Intersquad meet is in the books and it went Swimmingly! The new software meet management system came with a steep learning curve but it delivered; the meet was over before 11am! A huge thank you to everyone who showed up, completed their jobs and filled in as needed. We truly could not have pulled it off without everyone’s help. A special thank you goes out to those parents who volunteered the ENTIRE meet. You know who you are-stroke judges, concessions, starter ref, mc, clerk of course and meet manager. And let’s not forget our coaches who worked hard this week to prepare our swimmers in only 5 days for their first meet. Lastly, a thank you to our kiddos for being brave, persevering and diving in!

Now, a look to the week ahead…please read all, lots of reminders, announcements, and meet sign up information (deadline, Tues June 1st @10pm). Let’s do it!

No Practice May 31st, Memorial Day

Tuesday June 1st, Restaurant Night @ Chik-Fil-A at Southglenn 5-7pm

• Let them know you are with Cherry Knolls Swim Team when ordering, yes that’s it!

Wednesday June 2nd, Kidnap Breakfast at the Pool @ 7:45am

• Pick up starts at 7:35. Please note all kids and parents inside cars and houses will need to wear masks.
• No morning practice for swimmers 6 and under, 7&8 or 9-10’s, games to follow breakfast

Team Practice Reminders:

• Remember to stay off the pool deck
• Remember to put your chairs away after practice
• Remind your swimmer to put their towels and belongings on the grass, not on the pool deck
• Remind your swimmer that they need to wait to talk to the coaches until their age group swims
• And no water fights with swim caps!

Swim Meet Reminders:

• Please pick up your trash
• No parents behind the ropes
• Let the coaches coach. The coaches take the time each week to talk to our swimmers and help prepare for the upcoming meet. If your child has a question, please have them talk directly to the coaches so there is no confusion.

Meet Sign-Up / Out for Saturday, June 5 Virtual Meet vs. Heritage Village, Heritage Greens @ Cherry Knolls: Meet sign up goes live today, Sunday @12pm.  You have until June 1st, Tuesday evening at 10:00 p.m. to sign up / out for the meet.You may choose up to three individual events for each swimmer and opt in/out of relays. Swimmers must sign up for individual events, NOT just relays. Please also indicate if your swimmer will be in attendance for the entire meet, will be leaving early or arriving late. Do not forget to sign up for a meet job. If you have any questions about events for your swimmers, please don't hesitate to catch one of the coaches at practice Tuesday or email Coach Daniel.
