News Flash: We are shifting gears, we will be having an in person meet next Saturday June 12th @ Bow Mar South!!!

Good Morning Neptune Parents,

With our first official meet in the books, it’s time to take a deep breath and appreciate our success. Man, it feels good! Swim meets would not happen without the high level of volunteering, commitment and positive attitude of everyone in attendance. We thank you all again for your patience as we continue to work out the kinks of the new timing/meet management system. You will find meet results here: CK vs. HV vs. HG 6/5/2021

Kidnap Breakfast: Thank you to all the volunteer efforts that went into such a successful event! We hope your kids had fun. A special thanks to Missy Crew for chairing this event.

Upcoming Events This Week:

• Sunday June 6th-Meet sign up goes live at 12pm and closes at 10pm on Tuesday, June 8th. Pro tip- Set an alarm on your phone and never miss a meet sign up again! Once the meet closes, you will NOT be able to have your swimmer swim in the meet for that week.
• Monday June 7th-Restaurant Night @ Chipotle (University & Dry Creek), 5-9pm, be sure to use code, “L6LNGDB“ or if ordering in person, let them know you’re a part of the Cherry Knolls Swim Team.
• Tuesday June 8th-Picture Day (no practice) -individual pictures at 8am, team photo at 9am, wear your team suit or a version of it. Please look on the homepage of our website to locate the order form (you must print this out beforehand), coupons and picture day tips.

Team Spirit & CKST Traditions!

A few announcements about the return of some fun CKST traditions...

1. "Fastest Fish" - Each swimmer (in individual events) that wins their heat will receive a "Fastest Fish" card during the meet to redeem for a prize at concessions. Once they receive the card, they can redeem it with Dori Eikenberry for a little treasure from the treasure box! Set your goals now Neptunes!

2. Spirit Team - All 10 & under swimmers will receive a motivational/pep-up "surprise" at the beginning of each meet. This week was goldfish with the message "Just Keep Swimming!" Watch for next week's "surprise" from your CKST Spirit Team!! Thank you to Sawyer Eikenberry and Tatum Webster for starting this fun tradition!

Join the Spirit Team (all interested swimmers 11 and older) to prepare the weekly "surprises" for the littles...after practices on Tuesday/Thursday. Look for Tatum Webster and Sawyer Eikenbary.

3. Pick-up your ribbons from the "Family Folders" starting Monday morning! Family Folders is an easy way for us to communicate with you, give you your pictures, speeding tickets, etc. Family Folders can be found on the guard shack counter during swim practices. Ribbon colors indicate heat place and the sticker on the back will also note the swimmer's overall placement after results are merged with the other team.

4. "Speeding Tickets" - Swimmers can look forward to "Speeding Tickets" and prize redemption when they achieve a personal best time. This will begin AFTER next week's meet! They will also be in the Family Folders (after meet #2). Go Neptunes!!
