Dear Neptune Families,

Hold on to your swim caps, it’s T-minus 7 days until the start of practice on Monday, May 23rd! This is a reminder that the first practice will be a LAND practice. Practice times can be found on the Cherry Knolls Swim Team website under “schedules.” https://ckswimteam.swimtopia.com/. Coach Mack would like swimmers to arrive well rested, fed, sunscreened with appropriate clothing/shoes and a water bottle. Families of younger swimmers (8 and under) can expect coaches to be available for about a 15 minute Q & A at the end of their practice time on the first day.

The kick off dinner for swimmers will be at 6pm on Monday, May 23rd at the pool. Swimmers will be served dinner while parents will attend the All Parent Meeting at Cherry Field (up from the pool). At the meeting we will hear from Coach Mack and review season expectations. If you ordered gear from Out of Breath Sports it will be available for pick up at this time.

Our Intersquad meet is scheduled for Wednesday June 1st at 6pm. This is a great way for your swimmer to get comfortable racing and for parents to practice running a meet. Meet declaration will open Sunday May 22nd @12pm (noon) and close Tuesday May 24th @ 10pm.

Two things need to happen in order to be able to swim in the meet:

1. Meet declarations (for new families, this is when you select the individual races your swimmer wants to swim) will occur through Swimmingly Clubhouse. This is new this year! You will receive a separate email from Swimmingly on Sunday announcing that declarations have opened. Follow the link in the email to complete your swimmer(s) declarations.
2. Meet job sign up is still through Swimtopia. Every family who has a swimmer competing in the meet must sign up for a meet job.

Still haven’t registered your swimmer in Swimmingly Clubhouse? Your swimmer will not be able to attend practice or swim in the meets without registration. We currently have about 90 swimmers signed up out of 136 so if you have not done so, please follow the directions below.
