Neptune News Volume 4-Meet Entry Opens Today@ 12pm
Neptune News, Volume 4
6/19/22
Good Morning Neptune Nation,
The Hurricanes came to town but they were no match for the mighty Neptunes who ruled the water. A big thank you to swimmer and junior coach William Cuthbert for performing the national anthem for us at all our home meets. We are so lucky to have such a talented young performer as a part of our community.
**Looking for a few good reps! As Amy and Laura finish their volunteer duties as parent reps we are looking for two amazingly brave parents to step up and take their places. If you don’t already know our other parent rep Katie Hess, you want to! She is a dedicated swim parent who needs your help, the team needs your help. Hesitant about doing it? You didn’t know how to be a parent before you became a parent, you just did it. It’s the same thing AND we’re here to hold your hand. Find a friend or make a new one and contact us [email protected]
Before moving on to the business portion of this newsletter we want to acknowledge that some of you have been disappointed when your swimmer’s relay has been scratched at the last minute, this is unlucky and happens to all of us. Please remember we are still living through a pandemic. It is best to have swimmers stay home if they are sick or stay home if they are injured for their safety. This is summer swim league after all and it is best to keep things in perspective. The main goal is FUN!

How to complete meet declarations: https://support.swimmingly.app/how-do-i-complete-meet-declarationsPlease note: Swimmingly is set up so that any changes or selections made just “stick”. There is no confirm or save because Swimmingly wanted to eliminate the issue of parents or admins forgetting to hit that button.
- *NEW THIS YEAR! We will assume all swimmers registered for a meet are also available for both early AND late relays. Thank you for your participation and attendance at the entire meet. If they are NOT, please send an email to Coach Mack letting her know: early relays only, late relays only, or no relays. [email protected].
- STEP 2) Sign up for your meet job. Please see descriptions of meet volunteer positions: https://ckswimteam.swimtopia.com/volunteer-duties Sign up for your Swim Meet Job
- *NEW* STEP 3) After meet entry closes on Tuesday night, we will publish the Swimmer Lineup report in Swimtopia by 9am Wednesday morning. This report will show all entered swimmers and their individual races. Take a moment to review this report to ensure Swimmingly captured the correct events for your swimmer(s). Please inform Jeni Finnigan ([email protected]) by 12pm on Wednesday if Swimmingly did not capture the correct entry for your swimmer(s). We have added this step due to glitches some families experienced during last week’s meet entry.
A thank you goes out to Kelly Kizzier for chairing the full moon practice. It was a blast and certainly the most fun practice of the year for the kiddos.
Lastly, one last thank you to all those who participated in the Chick-Fil-A fundraiser on June 14th. We appreciate your support.
It was a long one but you stuck with it, cheers to you!
Sincerely,
Parent Reps
