Good morning Neptune Nation,

While we are enjoying the holiday weekend the swim team still goes on. Please read this email carefully as it contains reminders regarding meet entry for meet #5 against Forest Park and prelims and finals entry. MEET ENTRY FOR BOTH THESE EVENTS ARE OCCURRING SIMULTANEOUSLY THIS WEEK, FIRM DEADLINES. Prelims entry deadline Tuesday July 5th @ 10am, Forest Park entry deadline Tuesday July 5th @ 10pm.

Thank you to Sara Cuthbert for chairing the not so Messy Games this year. The kids had a great time running around the neighborhood finding “Bigger, Better and Best” items. The big winners were the group who came back with a toilet, oh what fun!

Another thank you to both Susan Pelikan and Tara Kolker for chairing the Family Night Meatball Sub Dinner and all the volunteers who cooked and served including some of our older swimmers at this delicious event. We all wished the weather was better but the company and food made it worthwhile.

New & Old Business:

• No practice Monday July 4th, it’s a holiday!
• NO practice Tuesday July 5th as our dear pool needs time to recover from the mass of humanity who visited her on the 4th. Enjoy the day off!
• Coaches Tip Jar: As the season wraps up please consider acknowledging our coaches for their hard work and dedication this season. Contributions can be made in increments of $10 via credit card or you may write a check made out to CKST with “coaches” in the memo line and deliver it to the red mailbox down at the pool. • Tuesday July 5th-Take Out Tuesday at Chipotle on Arapahoe and University 4-8pm. It’s our last restaurant night, whoop, whoop!
• Saturday July 9th- All team banquet @ Cherry Field @ 6pm-Come help celebrate the end of the season. Swimmers will receive his/her end of season gift, view the team slideshow and enjoy a sweet treat. We will still shamelessly be plugging our need for two new parent reps next year. • Keep in mind your swimmer can earn two certificates at the end of the season banquet: 1) All Events Award: Butterfly, Back, Breast and Free (for successfully swimming every event in their age group). Note: Your swimmer must not DQ on any of the events to earn this award. 2) IM Awesome Award (for successfully swimming the IM for the first time) DQ not acceptable. These certificates are a great motivator for kids, tell your swimmer.

Reminders: Set an alarm on your phone!!!

• Meet entry opens today at 12pm and closes on Tuesday, July 5th at 10pm (firm deadline-no late entries will be accepted!) for our fifth and final meet of the season on July 9th, Forest Park @ CK.
• STEP 1) Please log on to Swimmingly ON YOUR DESKTOP COMPUTER (there may be possible issues doing it on your phone) https://clubhouse.swimmingly.app and declare whether your swimmer is attending or not and choose up to 3 races for your swimmer. How to complete meet declarations: https://support.swimmingly.app/how-do-i-complete-meet-declarationsPlease note: Swimmingly is set up so that any changes or selections made just “stick”. There is no confirm or save because Swimmingly wanted to eliminate the issue of parents or admins forgetting to hit that button.
• *NEW THIS YEAR! We will assume all swimmers registered for a meet are also available for both early AND late relays. Thank you for your participation and attendance at the entire meet. If they are NOT, please send an email to Coach Mack letting her know: early relays only, late relays only, or no relays. [email protected].
• STEP 2) Sign up for your meet job. Please see descriptions of meet volunteer positions: https://ckswimteam.swimtopia.com/volunteer-duties Sign up for your Swim Meet Job
• *NEW* STEP 3) After meet entry closes on Tuesday night, we will publish the Swimmer Lineup report in Swimtopia by 9am Wednesday morning. This report will show all entered swimmers and only their individual races, not relays. Take a moment to review this report to ensure Swimmingly captured the correct events for your swimmer(s). Please inform Jeni Finnigan ([email protected]) by 12pm on Wednesday if Swimmingly did not capture the correct entry for your swimmer(s). We have added this step due to glitches some families experienced during previous meet entries.

Prelims and Finals Meet Entry Information: Please consult your inbox for the email titled “Prelims and Finals Information” or look on the CKST homepage under “Recent News” for more information. Anyone can participate in prelims and finals and it is super fun, you also DO NOT have to participate. Practice times can be found on the CKST website under the schedules tab “Practice Schedules”

Prelims/Finals meet entry is open via Swimmingly and will close on July 5th @ 10a.m. FIRM DEADLINE If you sign up for Prelims/Finals you must also sign up for a meet job via Swimtopia.
