Good Morning Neptune Nation,

Holy cow, yesterday was a scorcher but we stayed cool as we had our best meet yet. Well done everyone on finishing strong. As far as meets go, it couldn’t have gone any smoother, we definitely ended on a high note!

Even though many of you are done for the season, we would like to remind everyone that if you have an issue with a time or a DQ of your swimmer the proper protocol is for you to find a parent rep. The parent rep will then go to the scorekeeper's tent on your behalf to resolve the issue, this will keep the meet running smoothly. We repeat, DO NOT enter the scorekeepers tent even if your hair is on fire. Thank you

Reminders:

  • 2022 Coaches Tip Jar We want to thank everyone who has already contributed to the coaches tip jar. Contributions can be made in increments of $10 via credit card on the swim team website homepage. Contributions are then divided evenly among Mack, Sadie, Hannah, Caleb and Lucy. The tip jar will remain open until July 17th.
  • Sunday- July 10th For those of you participating in prelims we invite you to celebrate with a prelims party at the pool @ 6pm.
  • Prelims practice schedule posted on CKST website under practice schedules. No practice Monday July 11th. Prelims practice will start Tuesday July 12th.

An enormous THANK YOU goes out to Dori Eikenbary and Kate Ryan for bringing back the fourth of July BBQ lunch at the pool. We also appreciate everyone who volunteered their time on this holiday to sell meal tickets, cook and serve others, sell raffle tickets, judge cupcakes, clean up, etc. It really was an all hands on deck event!

Thanks again for heading out to Chipotle on July 5th for our last Tuesday night takeout! Restaurant nights require little effort but a hungry stomach and parents who are ready for a break from cooking. WORD!

Lastly, the end of season banquet was lovely, what a nice way to honor our swimmers, coaches, parents and community. Our hearts are full Cherry Knolls Swim Team. A thank you goes out to Alli Jones and her team for the end of season banquet. She is the one responsible for ordering the trophies and gifts for swimmers, coaches and anyone else who deserves an extra kudos for helping make this season a success. We also want to thank the Hilst and Sandahl families for putting together the end of season slideshow. When you see all the kids with happy faces making memories throughout the season it really does make it all worthwhile.

We hope you all had a fun and give the team a “do again” in 2023.

Sincerely,

Laura, Amy & Katie
