4th of July & swim team fundraiser

Hello Neptune Families!

It’s 4th of July Prep Week!!

For those of you who are new to Cherry Knolls, or the CK Neptunes, welcome! And welcome to the madness that is the CK Swim Club on the 4th of July. As a major fundraising effort, the CK Neptunes shop for, prepare, serve and sell lunch at the CK Swim Club’s 4th of July party. We also shop for, man, and sell items from the Candy Shack.

And we can’t do this without you! Read on to find out more about:

  • Needed volunteers
  • Needed beverage donations
  • Participating in the Cupcake Contest
  • Pre-purchasing your day of meals in support of our athletes

We NEED a few additional volunteers.

  • This includes food serving, runner jobs, and 1 clean up job for adults.
  • It also includes candy shack jobs for 4 12+ year old swimmers to help us man the shack. These tweens will be accompanied by an adult and will do a 1 hour shift in the shack.

Lunch Sales in Support of the CK Neptunes!! The CK Neptunes 4th of July Co-Chairs (Ayrolyn Keady & Nicole Miller) head up the herculean effort of feeding the masses in support of raising funds for our swim team. This year they need your help with the following:

  • Canned Drink Donations
    • As part of the 4th of July lunch at the pool, the Neptunes rely on your generosity for canned beverage donations. These canned beverages are then sold as part of the lunch.
    • Please consider signing up and donating some canned drinks! Let us know that you'll donate by scanning the QR code to the left or by clicking here and signing up.
  • The Cupcake Contest
  • A time honored tradition, the annual cupcake contest is not only a time for your young baker to shine, but it’s a way for you to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.
  • In this contest, individuals bake and decorate 24 (or more??) cupcakes.
  • These cupcakes are delivered to the pool on the 4th, no later than 10:00 am.
  • Judges consider all entries and awards are awarded for Most Creative, Most Patriotic, & Best Overall!
  • Winners will receive gift card prizes!
  • Cupcakes are then sold as part of the lunch deal.

  • Pre-Purchasing Your 4th of July Meals
    • Help us out! 🙂 The goal of pre-sales is to purchase the right amount of food, and not overspend.
    • Lunch choices include: Hamburger, Cheeseburger, or Hot Dog meal. A meal includes 1 main, 1 drink, watermelon, chips & 1 cupcake.
      • Hamburgers/cheeseburger Meal: $10.00
      • Hot Dog Meal: $7.00
    • Day-of, from 11 - noon, individuals who have pre-bought their lunch tickets will be served.
    • Presale tickets can be bought by selecting this link or scanning this QR code. Please save your confirmation email and be ready to present it at the ticket table when you come get your food.
    • Presale will end Saturday, July 1 at noon.
    • A limited amount of meals will be available without pre-purchase on the 4th of July.
    • Non-pre-sold (is this even a word?) meals will begin being sold at noon.
    • Card and cash will be accepted.
  • Please Note: The grills will be closed to the public while the swim team is selling the meal deal.
