July 5th Neptune News,
-The annual CK 4th of July event was a success! So many people came together to pull off this celebration, and we appreciate EVERYONE who stepped in to support our community!! Hats off to Sarah Keene, Laura Lassen & Erica Ferlin for their efforts to feed over 500 people lunch…you were rockstars!!! We would also like to recognize Kara Harris, our Fundraising Chair, for her coordination with the Cashiers & 50/50 Raffle!!!! Teamwork makes the dreamwork, & CKST has an amazing team of volunteers who found the time this season to support all of our kids!!!!!

-Prelims Fiesta tonight (5:30-7:30PM) at the pool! Dinner will be served for swimmers, and many fun activities are planned!! Bathing suits not required, but since the pool will be open until 9PM, of course swimming is an option.
-Coach Tip Jar. As the end of the season approaches, we have had questions about showing appreciation to our amazing coaches! There are so many ways for families to show our coaches how much they are valued and recognize their efforts this season. Historically, swimmers have made cards, purchased individual gifts/gift cards for coaches with whom they have formed a special relationship, or donated to the communal tip jar. Donating to the tip jar allows the contributions to be evenly distributed among coaches to ensure that all coaches feel equally valued, allows coaches to use monetary contributions towards personal wants/needs (i.e. college tuition, etc.), and provides coaches with greater buying power (versus small gift cards to various establishments). There is no pressure to monetarily compensate them. They will appreciate any way that your family chooses to show gratitude! If you would like to contribute to the Coaches’ Tip Jar, please use our treasurers QR code to deposit directly into the team bank account, or you could drop an envelope with cash or check in the CKST Swim Team mailbox hanging on the pool fence. *Please note “Coaches’ Tip Jar”. Any gratuities shared in these ways will be divided between the Coaches. DEADLINE: July 20 so that we can close out the season

-End of Season Awards for ALL families Sunday, July 12 (5:30-8PM). Join the team in Cherry Field to celebrate all of our swimmers’ accomplishments this summer! Bring chairs, a blanket, and a picnic dinner. Following the awards, swimmers will have a special dessert and watch a fun slide show. Many people dress up in their summer’s best!
