NEPTUNE NEWS VOLUME 3 - May 28, 2017
Hello Neptune Families –
It was great to see smiling kids jumping into the pool at practices, and we have another fun week ahead!
MOST IMPORTANT THIS WEEK
- Regular PRACTICES Tuesday-Friday (No practice Monday/Memorial Day and Wednesday morning is optional, since Intersquad meet is that eventing)
- Kids’ KICK-OFF DINNER Tuesday at 5:30-7
- All PARENT MEETING Tuesday at 6-7 p.m. (volunteer checks due)
- INTERSQUAD MEET Wednesday 4:30-7:30 p.m.
- FIRST MEET! Cherry Knolls hosts Sundance Hills at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 3 (warm-ups at 6:30)
REGISTER (RIGHT NOW!!!) BY TUESDAY, FOR JUNE 3 HOME MEET
Sign-up BY TUESDAY, MAY 30 by 10 p.m., for our first home meet. If you will NOT be attending the meet, you still need to go LOG-IN to sign your swimmer OUT by May 30 so coaches can plan the meet. See How to Register.
- Choose THREE individual events per swimmer and indicate if he/she is available for relays.
- You will be prompted to choose your meet volunteer job (Sign-up early for best job selection!). Every family must sign-up to volunteer if your child is swimming.

REGULAR PRACTICE SCHEDULE (NO PRACTICE MONDAY)
KIDS-ONLY KICK-OFF DINNER: TUESDAY, MAY 30
All Swim Team and Practice Squad attend kids only event at the pool/Cherry Field with the coaches 5:30-7 p.m. Dinner served, but NO swimmin/no suits required.
ALL PARENT MEETING: TUESDAY, MAY 30
At pool 6-7 p.m. Two $150 volunteer deposit checks are due. Pick-up Out of Breath orders and buy new team hats ($15), and we have a few swim bags.
INTERSQUAD MEET: WEDNESDAY, MAY 31, AT 4:30-7:30 PM (SET-UP AT 2 PM)
Watch for emails with meet program and job assignments (access under “my account” on the website). Set-up at 2 p.m. (we will have a limited set-up for this meet.)
Kids arrive at 3:30 p.m.
Warm-ups at 4 p.m.
Meet start at 4:30 p.m. start
Meet ends at 7:30 p.m.
Please read our Meet Survival Guideto prepare! Concessions will sell – pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs. If cancelled, this meet will not be rescheduled. We will be timing, but times won’t be recorded, no ribbons awarded, and no pool/league records can be broken.

Sign-up/details for the Freestyle/Backstroke group clinic with coaches.
KIDNAP BREAKFAST JUNE 7 (Shhh!)
Older swimmers will “kidnap” 10 & Unders starting at 7 a.m. on June 7th. They will surprise younger kids, hopefully waking them up, and will bring them to the pool (in their PJs!) for a morning of donuts and fun.
If you do NOT want your child picked up or if you will NOT be in town, please email Mel Ranallo at [email protected] asap so she can plan the day. We expect all 11 and olders to assist with picking up younger children that morning.
BAD DADDY’S FUNDRAISING DINNER JUNE 7
Have dinner with friends at The Streets of SouthGlenn Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar 5-9 p.m. to benefit our team!

You have all signed up to assist make this volunteer-run swim team fantastic. If you are unable to fulfill your shift, you are required to find your own replacement. Here is the list of volunteers for each event. Let us know if you need someone’s email to reach out directly.
